First Ferry IX, X, XI

These three 28 meter Cats operate in Hong Kong as ferries to the outlying islands. With a full load, cruise speed is 25 knots and are very successful examples of economical ferry transport. Carrying 230 passengers in air conditioned comfort, the vessels are powered by twin MTU 12V1000 engines at 1080 hp each.

Features include low-wash hulls with high-slip hull forms giving great fuel economy. These hulls were tank tested and refined giving even better performance.
